The concept of love at first sight is rare but rarely you find such stories. Even real life has given us several examples of childhood romances. Bollywood actor fell in love with his childhood sweetheart at age 12, but alas, the romance ended in disaster.

Before earning his title as the Greek God of Bollywood, Hrithik Roshan was already immersed in the world of stardom. His father, renowned actor-director Rakesh Roshan, had firmly established himself in the industry by the 80s. During this time, young Hrithik had formed friendships with numerous star kids. It wasn’t until he was 12 years old that he had a fateful encounter with Sussanne Khan, daughter of actor Sanjay Khan. The Khans had just moved in next door to the Roshans. Excitedly, Hrithik confided in his good friend Uday Chopra – son of filmmaker Yash Chopra – about his feelings for Sussanne and expressed his desire to marry her.

Bollywood’s ultimate fairytale wedding – childhood sweethearts who married and had two children together. However, Hrithik and Sussanne separated in December 2013, citing irreconcilable differences. Although the two have remained cordial, they have continued co-parenting their two sons. During the pandemic, they moved in together again to give their sons time, and Sussanne moved out again during the unlock phase.
