Apple is gearing up to reveal its latest OLED iPad Pro at the upcoming “Let Loose” event on May 7, with speculation mounting that the device will be powered by the M4 chip, heralding it as Apple’s “first truly AI-powered device.”

Following this unveiling, Apple might shift focus to how the M4 chip and the new iPad Pros will leverage AI software and services in iPadOS 18, anticipated later this year. There are also expectations for the A18 Pro chip in the iPhone 16 Pro lineup to prioritize AI capabilities.

According to Gurman, the “Let Loose” event will primarily showcase the new iPad Pro, iPad Air, Magic Keyboard, and Apple Pencil. While the event is likely to be conducted online, Apple reportedly plans to host small hands-on events for select members of the media in the US, UK, and Asia.

The highlight of the new iPad Pro is its OLED display, marking the first time this technology is integrated into the iPad lineup from the iPhone. Additionally, the iPad Air is expected to offer a larger 12.9-inch screen option. Meanwhile, the new Apple Pencil is rumored to introduce haptic feedback.
